Times, Dates, and Order in Which New Orleans Flooded.

KThe Times Picayune has a very cool interactive map that shows the times, days and order of the flooding that happened when Katrina hit New Orleans. New Orleans is a big place and the flooding happened in stages. The main part of New Orleans took days to flood. New Orleans East flooded before Katrina made landfall and the Ninth Ward flooded in the middle of the storm. Click through the program and take a look at the order. Despite the upsetting memories, it's fascinating to see just how the damage happened. It's important to research the places you write about with tools like this in order to be accurate in your storytelling.
